The restaurant

Piedmontese cuisine with high-quality ingredients

Ristorante Il Portichetto is a historic restaurant in the Grana Valley. Located in Caraglio, the restaurant offers some of the best Piedmontese cuisine in the province of Cuneo. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of a delightful 19th-century building on two levels, with a large summer patio and an outdoor car park for customers.
The 19th-century building's structure is preserved in the arched portico and elegant loggia. A refined ambience and Piedmontese cuisine characterised by seasonal menus and wholesome ingredients have been the restaurant's pride and joy since 1989.

Sophisticated and refined furnishings

Ristorante Il Portichetto can accommodate up to 50 diners, who are welcomed into a warm and refined setting with floral decor and classic, designer-style furnishings. Attention to detail and Piedmontese cuisine interpreted according to the latest international innovations are among the restaurant's strengths. In the warmer seasons, guests can enjoy all the flavours of typical Piedmontese dishes outdoors, under the portico at the entrance or on the elegant summer terrace, which is set up, especially for special occasions.

Our locale's history

Our premises on Via Roma 178 has been used as a restaurant serving Piedmontese cuisine since the beginning of the 20th century. It previously housed an osteria, which after the First World War was named by Mr Mattiauda as the "Osteria della pace". The restaurant has seen a succession of restaurateurs, until the arrival of the Acchiardi-Bertone family, who renamed the restaurant "Il Portichetto", offering refined, high-quality Piedmontese cuisine. Even then, Chef Eugenio Manzone was in the kitchen and has remained so since the arrival of the Bruno family. Since 2009, the restaurant has been managed by Eugenio Manzone and the head of the dining room, Ivo Giordano, who works to offer guests Piedmontese culinary recipes that make the most of the region's finest products.
